Sandy is a partner in Ironwood Mezzanine Fund LP and a founder of Ironwood Capital's investment management business. He is currently Chairman and CEO of The Cloud Company, LLC, a real estate development and management firm.

He previously served as president of the National Conference for Community and Justice, was a partner in the law firm of Robinson & Cole and held senior level management positions with Aetna, Inc.

He received both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Howard University and an M.A. from the Hartford Seminary.  Sandy serves on the boards of Northeast Utilities and the Phoenix Companies, Inc.
