“I enjoyed participating in the SBIA panel and sharing Ironwood Capital’s best practices. At the onset of the pandemic, we immediately began working with our portfolio company management teams to provide direct support, if needed. From a valuation perspective, we considered temporary versus permanent changes in the business and/or industry. In addition, we developed a risk-based matrix to assess each portfolio company’s exposure to COVID-19. The matrix was a key tool in the valuation process and also helped us more effectively deploy assets.”
