Alex Levental, Managing Director
Alex’s primary responsibilities include deal origination, structuring and execution, industry research and portfolio management. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital in 2005, Alex was a Vice President of Market Development and Strategic Planning for CCA Global Partners. He started his career with Morgan Stanley & Co. as a financial analyst and later was an associate with Advent International. Alex is a member of the Board of Directors for Merrill Industries and a board observer at DocuLynx, Katahdin Industries, Dancing Deer, Capewell Aerial Systems and Elite One Source Nutrisciences. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Russian Literature from Colby College and studied at the London School of Economics.
Zachary Luce, Chief Financial Officer
Zach is responsible for financial management and controls, external financial and regulatory reporting and limited partner reporting. Zach has additional responsibilities in the development and management of internal systems and controls, cash management, and support of overall portfolio management. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital in 2010, Zach worked for seven years as an auditor in public accounting with McGladrey and CCR LLP, with a focus on financial institutions, not-for-profits organizations, manufacturers and employee benefit plans. Zach graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and also obtained his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
Paul Witinski, Director
Paul is responsible for investment opportunity analysis and portfolio company monitoring, including analysis of market and competitive trends, identifying business development and growth strategies, and assessing exit opportunities. He joined Ironwood Capital in 2012 from McKinsey & Company, where he consulted primarily on operations and supply chain management. Prior to graduate school, Paul was an engineer at General Motors and is a licensed professional engineer. Earlier in his career, Paul served for six years as a nuclear reactor operator in the U.S. Navy. He graduated with honors from the University of Rochester and holds graduate engineering degrees from the University of Rochester and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
