Maryam is responsible for reviewing new investment opportunities including incoming investment memos, conducting research, performing financial modeling and due diligence. She also writes deal introductions and investment committee memorandums. Other responsibilities include project management related to portfolio companies including financial monitoring and research. In addition, Maryam provides support for business development related activities, including fund-level analysis and reporting, reviewing and maintaining the internal customer relationship management software (CRM).
Maryam has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Pakistan and a Master’s in Management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Prior to joining Ironwood, Maryam worked as a financial analyst for a search engine optimization (SEO) firm called Terakeet and has also worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst for a multinational telecommunications company called Mobilnk GSM in Pakistan, with prior internship experience with Ernst & Young.
She enjoys traveling, cooking food from various cuisines and watching crime thriller movies and shows – and loves spending time with her 15 month old son.
