Marc Reich

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Marc founded the firm in 1986 as a unit of Aetna, Inc. and has overall management responsibility for all firm activities with a primary focus on strategic direction, capital raising, business development and investor relations.

Carolyn Galiette

President and Chief Investment Officer

Carolyn is a founding partner of Ironwood Capital. She serves as president and chief investment officer for the firm and chairs the firm’s various investment committees.  She has overall responsibility for the entire investment origination process and the investment operations function.  Carolyn also oversees limited partner and financial reporting, portfolio management and strategy execution.

Roger Roche

Senior Managing Director

Roger has primary responsibility for marketing and investment origination for Ironwood Capital. He is actively involved in marketing the firm within the investment community and serves as a member of the investment committees for the firm’s mezzanine funds.

Victor Budnick

Senior Managing Director

Victor joined Ironwood Capital in 2006 with a focus on early and growth stage companies, including both equity and venture debt investments. In 2010 he co-founded Ironwood Capital Connecticut, which manages capital focused on financings in Connecticut companies. Victor leads the effort to invest those funds across the capital spectrum in companies at various development stages.

Jim Barra

Managing Director

Jim joined Ironwood in 1996 to support the firm’s investment banking practice. From 1996 to 2002, Jim served as lead banker on several private placements and junior capital raises for Ironwood’s middle market clients. Since 2002, Jim’s primary responsibilities have been business development, investment execution and portfolio management for the firm’s mezzanine funds.

Dickson Suit

Managing Director

Dickson has responsibility for deal origination, due diligence, underwriting, deal structuring and execution and portfolio management. He is a member of the investment committees of the mezzanine funds.

Alex Levental

Managing Director

Alex’s responsibilities include deal origination, structuring and execution, industry research and portfolio management.

Ellen Stotler

Vice President, Investment Operations

Ellen serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of the firm and has extensive responsibilities within Investment Operations for portfolio management, investors reporting, investment documentation validation and capital calls.

Zach Luce

Chief Financial Officer

Zach is responsible for financial management and controls, external financial and regulatory reporting and limited partner reporting. Zach has additional responsibilities in the development and management of internal systems and controls, cash management, and support of overall portfolio management.

Mike Benson


Mike has various responsibilities relating to the investment activities of the Connecticut funds, including deal sourcing, transaction-based due diligence, transaction modeling, negotiating and structuring, managing our state deal qualification processes and portfolio company monitoring. He also led the development of the firm’s proprietary financial deal model and its portfolio management database.

Trevor Russo, CFA


Trevor is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing investments. He is also responsible for managing portfolio company investments including financial performance, business development and exit strategy. He has also served as a board observer for numerous portfolio companies encompassing several industries including Manufacturing, Environmental Services, IT Services, Business Services, Contracting, Health and Wellness and Consumer Products among others. Additionally, Trevor provides support in the areas of firm operations, compliance and capital allocation strategy.

Adam Dotson


Adam is responsible for a broad range of tasks related to the investment activities of the firm, including deal sourcing, transaction-based due diligence, exploratory market research and portfolio company monitoring. He also works to further marketing, partner and investor relations initiatives.

Paul Witinski


Paul is responsible for investment opportunity analysis and portfolio company monitoring, including analysis of market and competitive trends, identifying business development and growth strategies and assessing exit opportunities.

Patrick M. Patrell

Private Equity Analyst

Patrick is an analyst within Ironwood Capital Connecticut with responsibility for reviewing new investment opportunities, conducting research, performing financial modeling and due diligence. Patrick also writes deal introductions and investment review memorandums. Other responsibilities include financial monitoring and research related to portfolio companies. Patrick provides support for business development and maintains the internal customer relationship management software (CRM).

Tyler Klenk

Private Equity Analyst

Tyler is responsible for reviewing new investment opportunities including incoming investment memos, conducting research, performing financial modeling and due diligence. Tyler also writes deal introductions and investment committee memorandums. Other responsibilities include project management related to portfolio companies including financial monitoring and research. Tyler provides support for business development related activities, including fund-level analysis and reporting, reviewing and maintaining the internal customer relationship management software.

Sandra Samuels


Sandy has responsibility for internal recordkeeping and financial controls. Responsibilities include day-to-day accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable. She also has responsibilities relating to human resources and employee benefits.

Kimberly Craig

Assistant Vice President, Investment Operations

Kimberly has responsibility for investment documentation, regulatory compliance and limited partner reporting.

    Kathy Butler

    Marketing and Communications Director

    Kathy has responsibility for the marketing and communications functions of Ironwood Capital, including website and content management, social media initiatives, conference and event strategy and general marketing material for capital raise purposes. She also has oversight of the firm’s CRM and technology infrastructure.
