AVON, CONNECTICUT, April 30, 2015 – Ironwood Capital is pleased to announce that Marc Reich, president, will be a featured speaker at the Capital Roundtable conference, “Best Practices for Launching & Managing an SBIC.” The event takes place at the University Club, One West 54th Street, New York, on Thursday, May 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Reich will moderate a panel of industry professionals that will address the topic of “Seeking Capital — Four Limited Partners (“LPs”) Share What They’re Looking for in an SBIC Fund.” The panel will begin at 10:45 a.m. and run for one hour. Panelists will discuss how they evaluate potential commitments to SBICs, what is included in their due diligence process and what makes for a successful SBIC/LP relationship.
“Ironwood Capital has successfully managed SBIC funds for over a decade, along with non-SBIC funds,” stated Reich. “The leverage contained within an SBIC fund can be a very attractive element for potential LPs, likewise the regulatory oversight provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Furthermore, SBIC investments enable banks to invest in private equity without running afoul of regulatory restrictions.”
